Our lab is interested in evolutionary genetics broadly defined.  We are studying factors that impact how molecular variation is distributed within and between species, including biogeography and demography and also natural selection.  Our recent work in Southeast Asia explores how molecular variation in different parts of the genome is influenced by the social system of macaque monkeys, and how patterns of population structure of sympatric (co-distributed) species such as monkeys, fanged frogs, and toads vary on the central Indonesian island of Sulawesi.
